Description
Wetlands are places of life. They support a great diversity of animals and plants. In addition, wetlands provide landowners and their families with opportunities to observe wildlife, hunt, fish and reconnect with nature. More than half of Michigan’s wetlands have been lost since settlement. Private landowners, with technical and financial help from government agencies and conservation organizations, can help reverse this loss by restoring wetlands for their own enjoyment and the benefit of surrounding communities.
