The Americans with Disabilities Act was amended effective January 2009 to significantly expand the coverage of the ADA to include employees who are significantly limited without considering mitigating measures, and to increase the scope of what is a “major life activity.”  EEOC regulations are also expected to further clarify this expansion of coverage.

Bullying doesn't just happen in the schoolyard -- it happens in the workplace as well. Workplace bullying can include verbal abuse, intimidating or humiliating behaviors, and even sabotage of someone?s work. This workshop will discuss workplace bullying, how common it is, and the costs to employers.  We'll close with a discussion of what unions and management can do to prevent bullying or stop it once it starts.
